EPSG Finder

Find and inspect coordinate reference systems, including Korean CRS.

How to use
  1. Search by EPSG code or name (including Korean CRS) to see its definition, area of use, and proj4 string.
18 commonly used CRS — not the full EPSG database. Includes all 16 Korean belt-family entries (EPSG:5173–EPSG:5188), including legacy and withdrawn systems still found in older public datasets.

CRS Search Coverage

Search CRS definitions, areas of use, and proj4 strings by EPSG code or coordinate-system name. Coverage includes the Korean 1985 family EPSG:5173–5178 and KGD2002 family EPSG:5179–5188.

Send a selected CRS to the Coordinate Converter. Details also show whether a code is current, deprecated, or replaced.

Frequently asked questions

What if the CRS I find is marked withdrawn?

A withdrawn code like EPSG:5181 shows its replacement in the detail view. Use the replacement for new data, but keep the original code when interpreting existing datasets that declare it.

How complete is the Korean CRS coverage?

It includes both the legacy Bessel 1841 family (5173–5178) and the GRS80/Korea 2000 family (5179–5188), each definition sourced directly from the EPSG registry.
